March Madness

I LOOOOVE this time of year !!! Everyone is getting their brackets filled out. Most people have not watched any college basketball all year, but they are eager to get to pick their teams and compare it to the rest of the nation. We love the underdog, a lot times we are to scared to take them to the final four, but we love to route for them against the big bad #1. (Unless our bracket still looks good, but in most cases its already has too many red lines on it.) One of the things I love so much is that anyone has a shot to win, and it doesn't really matter what their ranking is. This year there is not a single #1 team is in the final four, and VCU is ranked 11th in their bracket.
March Madness is a lot like life. We look at people around us, and we rank them in our minds of how "good" their life is, and "far" they will make it in life. A lot like we rank the teams and fill out brackets as how far they will go. The problem is we let other people's options and what they might think of us and we believe it. It would be as if VCU saw that everyone ranked them low and was like, "Oh well, lets just give up nobody thinks we are going to win."
In life, everyone has a shot to win, and it does not matter what other people "rank" you. That is because the God of the Universe, created you and has great plans for your life.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

So when going through life, trust God has a plan for you, no matter what others or even yourself thinks. God is working and everyone can win in this life if they put their Trust and Hope in Jesus Christ. Plus I think God loves to take the "underdog" and bring victory in their life, because I am a big time "underdog" and God gets all the glory when I tell people where he has taken me from and where he is leading me next.
